Malibu Beach Engagement | Santa Clarita Wedding Photographer | Drew & Stephanie

Drew and Stephanie met on a bible study camping trip when they were 13. Drew followed Steph around asking her to play Go Fish over and over...he of course does not remember this which cracks me up - but both of them were interested in each other from that trip and there has never been anyone else for either of them.   I am good friends with Drew's sister (Emma) and have watched their relationship grow through the years.  They both have amazing parents - and I am so privileged to have watched from the sidelines...and now I am honored to capture their engagement and wedding...

 

These two have such a sweet, mature and pure love - a joy to be around and a joy to photograph. It was cloudy...and even raining on us as we made our way to this amazing beach!  I love the SUN so I am always sad when it hides - the rain stayed away thankfully and I LOVE their images - the clouds act like a big soft box and made for perfect light for our afternoon.  They came dressed adorably and with such style... and completely prepared - even bringing a tablecloth from Anthro that we used as a blanket. They were both naturals in front of the camera and didn't need much direction!

I had them bring some things that remind them of each other and also love letters for each other...you'll see some of that below. We had a blast - laughed alot .... I am always so thankful for Jessy, my daughter and amazing second shooter, to be around couples like this. They are such a great testimony! 

Drew is witty, hardworking and smart  and Stephanie is kind, thoughtful, considerate and outgoing.  They laugh a lot together and they are simply perfect for each other.   I loved getting to know them better and hear their plans for their future and their goals...

I think I took the Malibu beaches for granted growing up.  When we first got there, Jessy was in awe - there is nothing like this by us!  It was fun to see it through her eyes.  Malibu is truly a beautiful place.  The perfect spot to take their engagement photos - it is one of their favorite places to be.
