Changing the Background Color
We took this in Beth's garage...good light as always! It's so weird but it works. Her garage didn't have that blue color that mine did...so I finagled a way to make it work. I'm writing this for myself so I remember....
Straight out of camera: original picture
So here's what I did - ran Nicole Vann's "gentle blue" action on the photo -then I painted the blue off her and the chair... Then in the same layer...I chose Curves - Picked BLUE ONLY and changed the color! You can see a little of the color showing through near her shouldders so I'll have to be more careful when I paint the blue so as to not erase where the floor shows through (you can do this by zooming in and fixing your brush sizes) ....I did it quickly to see if it would work which is typical of me - why not slow down????
The layer masks in Photoshop are amazing!
Kind of fun to look like a portrait in a studio :O)
Wa la!
